One beautiful summer night in Berlin, when heading to a club, Thor asked Elodie if she wanted to collaborate on one of his house tracks in French which she excitedly agreed to. Whilst on the dance floor that night the lyrics to Parfaite came to Elodie as she was overwhelmed with a feeling of appreciation for life and enjoying yourself with loved ones.
“Tu as de la la chance, de dire oui” meaning: We have the chance to say yes to life. The following week they got into the studio and Parfaite was born.
Parfaite is a track about celebrating life and the great moments that it can bring by saying yes.
It is about going on adventures with friends, family, lovers and taking the beautiful moments as they come. Masked as a tongue-in-cheek educational video that could be shown to a high school French class, the lyrics make use of Elodie’s French roots and appreciation for the language and culture.
Thor and Elodie set out to create a song that celebrated life, being able to appreciate the great times and seeing the positive things in this world.
Parfaite is a track that you can get lost to, taken away in thought at all of your greatest memories and most blissful scenes. It was created to dance to, sing to, get wild to and most importantly to say Yes to life to.
